Alec Baldwin's Message Goes Global

Photo: Flickr

I often reflect upon the tough situations celebrities find themselves in as their every word, gesture, outfit, or sarcastic eyeball -roll is dissected by the public and media. Their apologies after their social gaffes, outbursts, and arrests always make me cringe. I recently experienced a Double-Cringe for Alec Baldwin. Here's the news link to his recent angry outburst.

Watching Alec later apologize on the the morning television show, "The View" with Rosie (and the gang) I watched and cringed. How embarrassing it must be to call your daughter a pig and other not-nice words and then discover the whole world listened-in to your voice message! I wondered, "Could this be yet another Virgo loosing it?" (Read my previous posts about other celebrity Virgo's acting-out!)

So off I went to my computer to do research on Alec and was relieved to learn he is an Aries. Born April 3, 1958 in Massapequa, New York with a natal Mars-Uranus opposition, my guess is that he naturally expresses himself in a fiery way. Even those of us who weren't born with a lot of fire in our charts and/or explosive natal aspects have undoubtedly experienced our own anger issues and 'dance' with the recent Mars- Uranus conjunction.

This conjunction (Mars has moved on now, thank you very much!) played out differently for me--it sat right on top of my ascendant, and the exact day of the conjunction, I felt something sharp as I absentmindedly ran my tongue over a tooth in my mouth. I wondered what was in my mouth, and I got up, walked to the mirror, and discovered that my front tooth was chipped off at the bottom! So tomorrow I have a dental appointment and will get my very own CRINGE when I hear from my dentist how much this chipped tooth is going to cost me! I know it won't be cheap!

The Blessings of Astrology In My Life

Every Sunday I join other bloggers in a meme titled Blog Your Blessings begun by Blue Panther. If you wish to read their blessings, look on the lower sidebar for the links.

Today I'd like to write about my blessings from having studied astrology. Here's a little of my story: when I visited many Mother many years before her passing, she handed me a box with lots of paperwork--things she had saved from my childhood. My Gemini with a Taurus Moon and Taurus rising Mother was a pack-rat and a survivor of the Depression, so she saved everything! She had a ball of string that was bigger than two bowling balls. Naturally it follows that my box was a HUGE one with my report cards, writings, invitations, honors, yearbook photos, drawings, etc.

Sifting through this box I discovered an essay I had written in the fourth grade about astrology. I was dumbfounded I had been interested in astrology at such a young age! When one considers I was living in a small country town in Oklahoma in the heart of the Bible Belt with religious parents, my choice of writing an essay about astrology is even more amazing. Re-reading my essay, I was able to ascertain I had picked the subject of astrology-- not a teacher!

In my twenties I worked and lived in Los Angeles, and these were the years when I became totally hooked on astrology--burning the midnight oil constructing astrology charts, making note of every moment to later construct a chart of that moment, and studying with different astrology teachers. I still have many of these old astrology books in my library---dog-eared and underlined! I have saved these books for several reasons: when I see them, I recall my passion and dedication to learning astrology, plus they are classic astrology primers.

I feel very blessed to have discovered astrology at a young age! I was told by a famous psychic who knew nothing about my fondness for astrology that I had once studied the stars in Babylonian times. When she told me this in a reading, I received goosebumps and my hair stood on end. Astrology is in my soul history, and I feel blessed to have this opportunity to blog about one of my great soul passions.

Here are just a few of the many blessings I feel the study of astrology has bestowed upon me: wisdom, compassion, non-judgmental nature, understanding of humanity and my fellow man/woman, and ability to forgive.

What Provoked Hugh Grant To Throw a Hissy Fit and Baked Beans?

Photo: Charles Pfeil

By now possibly everyone has read, heard, or seen the photos of suave Hugh Grant going ballistic on a paparazzi dude--something I'm sure made many a celebrity overjoyed! Stalking celebrities with cameras is really out of control, and I'm surprised so many celebs maintain their composure as they are taunted by the paparazzi with nasty words. Click here for the story.

Being the curious cat I am, I checked up on Hugh's astro data to discover why yet another Virgo was acting -out, albeit in different fashion than the Virgo of yesterday's post, Richard Gere. What provoked Hugh to loose it? Let's see what the stars have to say:

Hugh Grant was born on Sept. 9, 1960 in London, England. I couldn't find the time, but I set up a chart using noon as I am wont to do when a birth time is unknown, rather than as some astrologers do with the Sun Sign as the ascendant. I'm not really looking at the houses anyway--just the aspects--so it really doesn't make much difference in my analysis. What strikes me is that transiting Jupiter is squaring Hugh's Natal Sun which suggests lack of self-restraint and conflict with the law. Next---transiting Saturn is applying to a conjunction with his Natal Uranus, an aspect which suggests taking the law into your own hands. Hugh # 2 could have been sitting on a nearby lamp post observing Hugh #1 lose his control and laughing his ass off at Hugh #1's outrageous throwing and kicking of the invasive paparazzi.

What I want to know is where did the baked beans come from anyway? Why don't the media give us these details? Was Hugh minding his own business and leaving his home with the last of his baked beans from breakfast? Am I the only Virgo who believes truth is in the details?

I also am wondering if the Mars-Uranus conjunction in Pisces (exact today) isn't tweaking Virgo's. Since I'm also a Virgo, I'm going to have to be extra careful. Thank Goddess I'm not a celebrity.

What Was Richard Gere Thinking As He Was Kissing Shilpa?

Photo: Flickr

One of the teachings of the Dalai Lama is to investigate the truth and not take things at face value. While speaking in Maui recently, he used the metaphor of a beautiful flower which could be highly poisonous. The Dalai Lama urges people to look beyond the 'conventional'. And so today I decided to do a little online research into the recent and highly controversial news about Richard Gere kissing Shilpa. Read the full story here.

If you have merely watched television playback of this event, it looks for all the world as if Richard Gere is groping poor Shilpa on stage. HOWEVER, the truth of the matter (if you read the link I gave you above) is that Richard Gere was speaking to a large group of Indian truckers about Aids Awareness and the use of condoms. What is NOT being included by the media is this fact! My partner remarked as we were watching the television replay of this event that something isn't right, and that Richard is "acting out of character". More to the truth of the matter, I think this whole uproar is media hype! His audience of the Indian truckers cheered him, and the event was a huge success. Gere was trying to perform a good deed (albeit with too much ebullience for the Indian sensibilities) and spoke about Aids awareness and safe sex-- and now he is being vilified by some (not all!) Indians!

The latest news is that an Indian court has issued warrants against Shilpa Shetty (the famous Indian actress on stage receiving the kisses) and Richard Gere. How retarded is this news?! Just when you think things can't get any more stupid, a new level of stooopid is achieved!

How did Gere, a family man with a respectable reputation and known as an activist for good causes and ardent Buddhist, stumble into this crazy cosmic set-up?

Richard Gere's birth data is listed as August 31, 1949 (time unknown) in Philadelphia, PA. Like me, he has his Sun in Virgo and Moon in Sagittarius. On the date he was kissing Shilpa in front of the Indian truckers, Saturn was still transiting his natal Pluto, but my guess is that Jupiter transiting within orb of his natal Moon might have given him an extra burst of zippy enthusiasm and this is why his hand accidentally slid down to Shilpa's butt. Entertainers are also known to play to the crowd, and after all, his audience was truckers and the subject matter was sex!

Since his birth time is unknown, I have picked noon on the day of his birth to set up a chart for him and nose around as to what his astrocartography says: New Delhi, the location of his onstage hijinks, is right between his Mars in his IC (or fourth house of home) and Jupiter on the Midheaven and tenth house (career and world stage). Yup, a perfect set-up with Mars suggesting difficult dealings with authority figures and controversies while Jupiter interprets his actions as world shaking news. Of course, you might want to consider that Gere has a crossing of Uranus with his Moon's Nodes in this latitude as well.

Gere had just left a spiritual conference in Dharamasala, so I seriously doubt he was looking to make any hanky-panky. This whole story from beginning to end reeks of over-reaction! Of course, good old transiting Mars is still applying to Uranus for all of us, so look out for continued explosive news! So I guess Richard got tagged to be "It" this particular time. Oh well! Who's next?

This story brings to mind the famous quote,

"No good deed goes unpunished. "

The Dalai Lama's Astrology Chart

Art Courtesy of Love Peace Happiness

The last two days on Maui has been historic as this was the first visit of the 14th Dalai Lama to Maui. I've posted about this event in several posts on another of my blogs, Who's Yo Mama, and if you would like to read more about the Dalai Lama's visit to Maui, I suggest you read the last three posts on this blog.

Today, as the dust was settling and my emotions were calming, I began wondering about the astrocartography of the Dalai Lama on Maui. In my last post here, I wrote on the subject of astrocartrography.

Everyone and their dog (not their cat!) was super excited about the Dalai Lama's visit on Maui. So what is going on in this locale with the Dalai Lama's astrocartography chart? Mercury on the Zenith! Mercury on the Zenith is excellent for politicians, communicators, and those who have something to say with an "accepting audience." An accepting audience is an understatement for the turnout which happened for the Dalai Lama on Maui! Our War Memorial stadium was filled two days in a row with a total of about 30,000 people in attendance, and this figure doesn't even count for the smaller events.

I went to the famous website
Astrodatabank, an reliable astrological resource for famous people, to check out the Dalai Lama's astro data. The Dalai Lama is considered to be a Sun in Cancer, Moon in Virgo by Western tropical astrology. Like many others (including my own life story and astro data), the information is a bit conflicted about the correct time for the Dalai Lama's birth, but the one Astrodatabank has posted is the 'consensus' time arrived through multiple resources. What I was really shocked by was when I went to my old standby, Astrodienst, and attempted to plug in the data I got from Astrodatabank, and discovered there was no category for Tibet! There is only China in the Astrodienst list! And yet, you can still locate Tibet on a map. You can still fly and take a train into Tibet. This oversight and eradication of the sovereign country of Tibet by Astrodienst troubled me. What's all that about?

So taking into account the 'consensus' chart of the Dalai Lama given on Astrodatabank (noted there as "From Memory") with the birth data of July 6, 1935 at 4:38 am at Takster, Tibet, we see that the Dalai Lama's Sun is in Cancer with a Moon in Virgo.

What especially stands out for me (among all his many aspects) and which seems to 'fit' when I check out his natal chart coupled with the stories of his childhood, observation via television and films, and the BRIEF times spent in his audiences and presence:

Cancer rising (ascendant) because the Dalai Lama is very nurturing and caring--grandfather energy!
Sun in the First House is is someone who is the life of the party with energy and zest. The Moon/Neptune conjunction makes him very psychic which I feel he is--very tuned in! Saturn Opposite Neptune (this opposition is presently happening)--struggle! Mars in the 4th house of home--strife in the home as a child. Grand Trine in water signs of Sun, Jupiter, and Saturn--a great soul clearly marked for a big impact upon the world.

If you want the full astro work-up, go the Astrodatabank site. I also suggest Thomas Laird's excellent new book titled, "The Story of Tibet...Conversations With The Dalai Lama". There is much information about the Dalai Lama in this book about the Dalai Lama's childhood, family, and life.

When my partner and I were in Dharmasala, India in 2006, we had our astro charts done by a famous Tibetan astrologer which is, of course, very different from our Western Astrology. According to the Tibetan charts, my partner was an elephant in his last lifetime, and I was an angel. That sounds about right. :-) Here's a link for Tibetan astrology charts, but it's not the same person who did our charts.

Astrocartography And Daydreaming

Photo: Charles Pfeil

As far as I'm concerned, playing around with astrocartography is one of the best means to daydream about the eternal questions which everyone contemplates from time to time: "Where is my spot on Earth? Where am I finally going to be successful? Where is my home?! Where am I going to flourish? Where should I move to? Where do I find love?"

Employing an astrologer who specializes in astrocartography would be the ideal choice if you have money. However, for those who merely want to daydream and imagine, Astrodienst is a FREE site which offers under the TRAVEL section the ability to daydream about places you could move to --for as long as you want to sit at the computer since the world's a mighty big place!

All you have to do is register on the site, plug in your natal data, and then go to your created page, scroll down to the Travel section, click on it, and then you have lots of choices: the World, North America, Europe, etc. After you have clicked on a location, and your pertinent birth data is on the screen, don't forget to click on 'details'. This is the extra data about latitude crossings which also are important in astrocartography. According to those who have researched astrocartography, latitude crossings are one third as powerful as longitude crossings.

For more information from a world famous authority, check out this link which mentions Julian Lee. Lee does thorough astrocartography readings and has also written a book (which I bought many years ago) titled "The Geostel Brownbook". You can now order it online as an e-book as well. This site offers a lot of information about the beginnings of astrocartography and Jim Lewis, developer of the first astrological map.

Every now and then when I'm in one of my moods to daydream, I go to the Astrodienst site and imagine myself at different locations. What would it be like to be living on my Uranus Midheaven line? Well, according to the way these readings are written (overly dramatic I feel!), living there might be very upsetting!

HOWEVER, as Julian writes in his book, one needs to consider the WHOLE chart and where the other planets in your relocated chart are located and their aspects--not just the lines on the angles as shown in a simple astrocartography map! This is where the guidance of an astrologer is helpful to understand the BIG picture.

Even though I know this to be true, it's still fun for me to surf my astro map and daydream. After all, I have Pisces rising. I'm born to daydream. :-)

"A daydream is a meal at which images are eaten. Some of us are gourmets, some gourmands, and a good many take their images precooked out of a can and swallow them down whole, absent-mindedly and with little relish." W.H. Auden

Blog Your Blessings Sunday

Photo: Charles Pfeil

This week had two wonderful surprises in store for me. First, it was ElsaElsa notifying me that she had picked Moonlight Becomes Me to be in the top ten blogs writing about astrology (see my previous post to this one for more details). Second, I was selected as one of the hot bloggers of MyBlogLog which subsequently led to being asked to do a guest blog post on Best-Blog-Basket.

Not a bad week at all! I am blessed indeed!
Other blessings: a girlfriend whom I haven't seen in a year returns to Maui for a visit; we will be once again have the opportunity to see His Holiness the Dalai Lama when he visits Maui for the first time this coming week; news of visits by other friends; and spending time with beloved friends.

Saturn Goes Direct--Happy Dance!

Art Courtesy of Love Peace Happiness

Saturn is known as the planet of boundaries, restrictions, and limitations. It's sometimes a harsh taskmaster and gets a bad rap because of this, but some planet's gotta do this dirty job! Saturn's also the planet which symbolizes achievement over time and the hard work which finally pays off!

I've had a chance to observe Saturn up close and personal through the years because my daughter was born with Saturn on her Ascendant. She lives near me on Maui, Hawaii, and in her astrocartography chart, her Saturn is in the 4th house of home here.

My daughter and I have seen a lot of Saturn's plus's and minus's through the years. On the plus side, she has never been out of work on Maui after she graduated from high school! She chose to go to work right away, and then attended college later. People want to hire her, and if she quits a job, there are plenty of employment offers which quickly come to her--this situation existed prior to the the current employment crisis on Maui (which I mentioned in yesterday's post). She's a diligent teacher (Saturn) and always receiving praise, recognition and awards for the work she does with children.

Far from looking somber and serious as some astrology books would have you believe with Saturn on the ascendant, she has the look of someone who has 'character'. She is very present with everyone, and it shows! She doesn't come across as immature and silly--even as a child, she didn't. She prefers friends who are older than her. I believe her diligence and dignified persona is due to Saturn.

On the minus side, Saturn has given her some tough tests, especially as a baby when she nearly escaped death through spinal meningitis. Of course, I'm simplifying and generalizing a LOT, because I can't blame everything on Saturn! I may have it in for Saturn a bit since Saturn's been squelching my Venus (read my former whining posts!). However, TODAY I'm doing a Happy Dance!!!!

Why? Because I received this lovely, unexpected email from the very successful online blogger/astrologer ElsaElsa. This is what it said:

"Hi there, I featured you on the Top 10 Sources of Astrology News here:

Top Ten Sources

Hope you get some hits!"

Wow! Did this email ever make my day! Of course, I attribute this to Saturn finally going direct--naturally! I'm doing a Happy Dance thanks to Elsa and Saturn!

Rising Above Our Stuff

As I sat in the movie theater with the noise level turned up way too high by the management, my partner and I could feel our anger rising. We took turns going out to complain, but it was the afternoon in the theater-- so our complaints were not acted upon. Both people we requested please turn down the volume in the theater said they would try--mine was someone standing behind the concession counter who got on his walkie-talkie and told them to turn it down. I came back to my seat and another ten minutes of ear-deafening sounds! So my partner went out looking for someone. Finally, he found someone after searching everywhere! He also made a polite request.

One of the problems in Maui is that employees have a slacker mentality. There are so many jobs to go around, and not enough employees. Thus, people don't care, and there aren't enough people employed to take care of the businesses which are open. Therefore, the services are rapidly going downhill in many establishments. If we wanted to sneak into the movies here, it would be so easy...let me tell you!

What kept me under control is my knowledge of astrology--knowing that Mars is getting ready to conjunct or unite with Uranus and the Dragon's Head (through April and early May) computes to this is not a good time at all to blow your stack! So if anyone else out there finds themselves boiling with anger, do whatever you can to chill! It's so easy now to find little things to be angry about, but you must keep a cool head. I gripe here on my blog instead. This helps. Ahhhhh.....

New Moon in Aries Today

I offer my deepest sympathies for those that perished-- also their friends and families-- in the recent campus shooting rampage! What does astrology have to say about the possibility of such an event transpiring?

For one thing...Mars, the planet of anger, aggression and hostility (among other more positive attributes!) is applying to a conjunction with Uranus (the planet of unexpected surprises) in the sign of (emotional) Pisces. This aspect will continue through April, and thus, it's a time for all of us to be extra careful and observant!

This Thursday April 19th Saturn which has been retrograding for FIVE long months will FINALLY turn direct. As you may recall from reading my posts, Saturn transiting my natal Venus has really put a damper on my desire to dress up or beautify. I've been wearing the same old comfy cargo pants-- they're my daily uniform. I'll be thrilled when I feel the urge to toss them in the trash! That's when I know Saturn will have moved out of orb from my Venus.

With the Aries New Moon today (the energies will continue tomorrow), this is an excellent day to be enterprising and begin new things. Put your intentions out now like little seeds.

"Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation) there is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too." Goethe

Control And Relationships

Photo: Charles Pfeil

Even though I never completed the arduous certification process of Magi Astrology, I enjoy studying their material and reading their updates. I purchased their software many years ago, and I have a very high opinion of their astrological theories and information.

One of their recent updates interested me because Britney Spears seems to be constantly in the spotlight, and like many others, I have wondered what is going on with her, her relationship to Kevin Federline, and her children. This article on Magi Astrology titled "The Astrology of Control....Why One Person Has Control Over Another" was very interesting to me, and so I point it out to you today....just in case you have scratched your head and wondered about these two as well!

Maui has abundant whale and dolphin life, and for this I am very grateful. In the years I've lived here, I've had incredible opportunities to meet these remarkable beings in their ocean home. The main dolphins of Hawaii are the spinner dolphins which often travel in pods as large as 500 dolphins, and to swim in the wild in the midst of these large groups as I have done is an incredible blessing. It is as if you're in the midst of a delicious dolphin layer cake--dolphins in various layers in the waters below you, dolphins beside you, and dolphins above you should you dive down to frolic with them and look upwards at the incredible scene.

Last week I received an email which stated, "I have decided I'm going to be jealous of you...". At first, I thought this was a joke because usually people who are REALLY jealous of you do their very best to hide it, and even if their actions suggest they are jealous of you, they will vehemently deny it. So this upfront approach wasn't taken too seriously by me, BUT it did get me to pondering: where in a chart does an astrologer look for someone with a 'jealous' nature? Can someone not be particularly jealous of most others but have a difficult aspect with you which causes their jealousy? Or is jealousy a generic, one-size-fits-all which stems from one's own stuff?

The usual culprit/sign who gets blamed for jealousy in western astrology is the sign Scorpio. But are there also aspects in a natal chart and/or transits which suggest 'temporary' jealousy? I'm planning to research this subject because I don't know the a
nswers. Since we can always rise ABOVE our charts through consciousness expansion and not play-into our natal design, we can choose NOT to be jealous, or we can simply choose TO BE jealous, such as this woman stated in her email to me.

“Jealousy is all the fun you think they had.” Erica Jong

“A competent and self-confident person is incapable of jealousy in anything. Jealousy is invariably a symptom of neurotic insecurity.” Robert Heinlein

“The thermometer of success is merely the jealousy of the malcontents.” Salvador Dali

As synchronicity would have it, I recently met a man on Maui who is familiar with the work of Brian Nager. We are the only two that we have met on Maui who know of Brian. I'm sure there are more, but we haven't met them. L. was among a group of us who lunched today, and he updated me on Brian's latest information. Upon returning home, I opened my copy of Brian's book, "The Ego Identity Crisis", and will share a passage from his book:

"Just because one is enlightened doesn't mean that they will never again be tempted by the ego or other nontruthful beings to be self-serving once more. In fact, sometimes temptations grow. Buddha and Jesus spoke of many instances when they were tempted by 'sinful beings' while they were enlightened. Even if one is tempted, there are no emotional or mental ties to what these beings try to tempt one with, whether sex, money, power, or control. This is how they try to pull one back into the false reality of illusion and suffering. In actuality, they just want to share their pain."

This last sentence speaks so much truth to me!

There are times when we are more susceptible and vulnerable, and we can identify these temptation- times through astrology, intuition, and other means.

A Lighter Day Arrives

Art courtesy of Love Peace Happiness

Venus moved into Gemini today, and the Moon moved into Aquarius, both air signs. For those of us who are comfortable with air energies, we feel great...and this would be me! On the other hand, my partner came home today sharing with me his woes, how bad his day had gone, and how his golf game was totally off! I looked at him, and he didn't look he was even in his body! He's more comfortable with earthy energies.

On another note: please vote for me for Blogger Choice Awards. Just click on the icon on the sidebar. Mahalo Nui Loa!

"Not until your surrender does the spiritual dimension become a living reality in your life. When you do, the energy that you emanate and that then runs your life is of a much higher vibrational frequency than the mind energy that still runs our world. Through surrender, spiritual energy comes into this world. It creates no suffering for yourself, for other humans, or any other life form on the planet."

Keeping My Feet On the Ground With Capricorn Moon

Photo: Flickr

Yes, I'm slogging through the practical, have-to-do stuff after the wipe-out Easter energies and back in the saddle again with the help of the Capricorn Moon today. So I was on the phone early to dispute a credit card charge (ugh!) and make other practical phone calls, run errands, follow-up on emails, make bank deposits, etc. Capricorn Moon's are good for these kind of things.

It would be so much fun to be able to snap my fingers and make time move quicker. Right now I would fast forward past April 19th, the day Saturn stops retrograding on top of my poor little Venus, "stands still", and FINALLY moves on it's heavy-footed way! Saturn on top of my Venus is really getting old! All kidding aside, I'm really looking forward to dressing-up again!

For those unfamiliar with astrology aspects, let me quote from Robert Hand's "Planets in Transit" book just a bit about Saturn transiting and conjunct one's natal Venus:

"...this transit can also mean a period of austerity, in which either voluntarily or otherwise you will give up many of the little indulgences and luxuries that have filled your life previously..." For me, this aspect has translated into hardly any shopping, primping, dressing-up, etc. etc. etc.

"Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons." Woody Allen

1. Springtime on Maui is absolutely divine! Check out the photo above which I photographed alongside South Kihei Road. Blooming trees and flowers are everywhere! The weather is great. Maui is flourishing in so many ways.

2. Beloved friends will join me for Easter Lunch at a beautiful, waterside restaurant where we will give thanks for our 'ohana' and delicious food.

3. A visiting friend who is a world-class from-scratch Chai maker has already served me a second aromatic cup of Chai.

4. My family is healthy, prospering, and happy.

Moon In Sagittarius Lightens My Mood

Art courtesy of Love Peace Happiness

As I was reflecting upon the time-spent on my blogging passion yesterday and singing the blues, I chanced upon the following quote which gave me a good belly laugh:

"The great paradox of the writer's life is how much time he spends alone trying to connect with other people." Betsy Lerner

Mars moves into Pisces today, and I am watching how my daughter with her 1 degree Pisces Sun handles the Mars energy. She's been forewarned, and so is acting as if she's a Mar-tial Artist! She conducted a "heated" business meeting yesterday without getting triggered she related to me last evening on the phone. And yet....there's still one more meeting to go for resolution. We shall see!

Jupiter Turns Retrograde, And I Turn Reflective

With Jupiter going retrograde today, I have also gone retro. I put on my retro clothes, retro music, and am reflecting on the many trails I have gone down in my life. With a natal Sag Moon, you know I've gone down a lot. This past year... beginning about last May... I committed myself to blogging with a passion. Today my Numero Uno blog & my most senior blog, Who's Yo Mama, hit a milemarker: 300 posts and 3 years under her belt!

Giving her lots of "lurv" this past year, Great Spirit/God/The Is-ness has granted her enough links to qualify as an "A" blog! Oh, I put a LOT of hours into this as well! And that's why I am glum today--I have partnered with Spirit to create a beautiful blog, and yet on her birthday of 300 posts, I'm not receiving that many comments and congratulations! Sigh! I know the stats for this blog as I can see she receives a LOT of visitors every day, but it's not easy to get others to comment. Why is this? I see a lot of great blogs with hardly any comments, and I always ask myself why! Is it in the stars? Did they natalize their blog at a bad time for communication? Why isn't anyone commenting on such a great blog?! Do blogs need to be feng shui'd just like homes? I actually emailed a feng shui expert this question, but I have yet to hear back with a response. Can one shift their previous posts over to a better natalization moment with a new name for a blog?

I'm asking myself as I've asked myself a lot this year: is the hours spent blogging worth it? Is blogging just a superficial pursuit? What is the point?! Maybe I should just hang-it up and write my final Happy Trails post as so many have recently been doing considering the opposition they have met!

You see what happens when I begin asking questions....

A Day to Goof Off--The Sex(tiles) Made Me Do It

Since there are so many sextiles in the Heavens today, and since Venus is square Neptune, I have discovered my alibi to totally goof off!

Full Moon In Libra

Moon Photo: Charles Pfeil

Mars has been transiting through the sign Aquarius and crossing over my s.o's Sun, and have I ever noticed his angry outbursts in recent weeks! He's been speaking his truth to others and letting them have it with guns a-blazing (so to speak). Thus far, I have escaped his wrath, but then again, I stay aware through observing other's astrology charts. I would not be so unwise to provoke someone with Mars transiting their Sun! Mars has now moved five degrees past his Sun, and my s.o's temper is moving from Way Hot down to merely Hot. At times such as these, I'm thrilled "sports" are available for men to help them to channel their Martian energies. My partner has been playing a lot of golf lately which has helped a little, even if his golfing partners have been given a whack or two by his Martian words.
