Blog Your Blessings Sunday

Artwork courtesy of Love Peace Happiness

Having had an audience with His Holiness The Dalai Lama this March at his home in McLeod Ganj, India and experienced first hand his humor, earthiness and wisdom, I love this quote:

"We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor." - His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama

So for this Sunday's BYB, I wish to contribute this:

I'm grateful and blessed for my kind, considerate, happy, helpful neighbors.

I'm grateful for moonlight. Recently a friend told me about a new hi-tech healing device using moonlight which she saw on a television program, but I have yet to find a link to this story on the net. If someone sees it, could you please forward it onto me? I'm fascinated with the moon!

I'm grateful for interesting astrological information that arrives in my inbox such as this one in Mountain Astrologer by Donna Cunningham titled "Venus-Pluto Aspects: It's Nobody's Business If I Do". I can relate since I have a Venus-Pluto conjunction. Here's the link.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve others--which I've been doing a lot of lately.

Have A Blessed Sunday!

Karma Removal

Photo: Flickr

I recently added my name, birth information and the names of beloved others to a special ceremony called a "Yajna". You can read more about yajna's here. For those unfamiliar with Yajnas, in brief it is an ancient Vedic practice of offering prayers and sacrifices to the Gods with the help of a Holy Fire. It is done by those practiced in Yajnas, and the belief is that using the purification of fire, Lord Agni, a direct link will be made and the prayers answered. There are MANY kinds of Yajnas, and they help in numerous ways. The ancient Rishis evolved various methods of Yajnas, and the rituals are performed with devotion. Yajnas are said to help cure diseases, seek divine help in solving problems that defy mundane solutions, and achieve deliverance from karma amongst many other kinds of ceremonies.

As noted by me in an earlier post, I took a tumble recently. I fell on the same elbow which had recently been drained by a medical doctor who then gave me a cortisone shot and told me to let it be and let it heal--and so it was until the hard fall. The fall was my wake-up call because of all the many ways to fall, somehow my body chose to take the brunt of the fall on this same elbow which became inflammed again. This fall was a major clue!

The good news is this: after the Yajna Ceremony, there was zero pain in my elbow! Yesterday I helped a friend unpack and lifted heavy boxes with an elbow as good as new!

Every Now & Then

Art courtesy of Love Peace Happiness

When I was much younger and obsessed with astrology, I was always looking at my chart and at others. Then I grew out of that phase. Now I check in on my chart from time to time and on others too if someone requests me to, but my obsession with astrology has vanished. However, EVERY NOW & THEN, I happen to notice an upcoming aspect which makes me go hmmmm and speculate about what is the potential of that moment in time and that aspect.

Such a day for me will be December 7th, 2006. On this day, Venus will conjunct Pluto conjunct Galactic Center. It so happens that I was born with a Venus/Pluto conjunction in Leo, and my Natal Moon is at 25 degrees Sagittarius. Thus, all of these elements will be together on December 7th have me wondering what I can do to maximize the potential of this day. Any suggestions anyone?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Astrology Chart of Yesterday's Fall

Photo: terragalleria
Chart Courtesy of AstroDienst

For those familiar with astrological charts and for those with eyes that can read the tiny symbols, the above astrological chart (timed for the surprising fall I took yesterday and about which I posted yesterday) depicts the multiple squares and t-square taking place at that time when I was running errands in the main business area of Maui--Kahului. Since I've always been a strong hiker (having hiked Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal for many days and the Na Pali Coast Tail in Kauai along with other challenging hikes), and never taken a dive like I did yesterday, I was most curious what the astrology chart of the fall would look like. The chart speaks for itself. I should've stayed in the closet with my cat. Just kidding. I am grateful my angels intervened so zero major disasters happened to me!

By the way, AstroDienst offers free astrology charts and lots of other goodies PLUS they are running a December Special right now.

Happy New Moon

Art courtesy of Love Peace Happiness

"Let everyone remember that his Soul has laid down for him a particular work, and that unless he does this work, though perhaps not consciously, he will inevitably raise a conflict between his Soul and personality which of necessity reacts in the form of physical disorders." Dr.Bach

I don't know about the rest of ya'll, but I'm ready for all the planets to move on out of Scorpio and head into Sagittarius! I've had enough intensity! Today I tripped over AIR and went flying down hard to the rough pavement skinning my hands, arms and elbow. I'm grateful I didn't break anything. This was BEFORE the New Moon! I don't know if this is correct information, but I've read that the most dangerous times are right before a New or Full Moon.

Sunday is the day of the week when I participate in the Blogging
My Blessings meme,
so here goes for my praise, gratitude and blessings:

I am grateful for my supportive daughter and friends! They cheer me up and rally my spirits!

I am grateful for my natal astrology--I'm glad to be me, even though I was born with a few challenging aspects and continue to experience challenging aspects. Such is life, and I'm glad to be here participating!

I am grateful for my health on all levels, my innate curiosity, my work ethic, and my desire to share with others.

I am grateful I've been nominated for Weblog awards by others for several of my blogs. How wonderful that others appreciate and honor my blogs!

Moment by Moment

Art courtesy of Love Peace Happiness

I'm always amazed how significant turning points or life passages cast their shadow before through omens such as physical body stuff, Spirit speaking through others, and/or a gift of a book. Upcoming for me is an astrological event, and the omens keep popping up, and thus, I surmise this astro event will most likely have a great deal of impact. What is the meet-up? My transiting North Node will conjunct transiting Uranus and conjunct my Natal Pisces Ascendant in late December this year and January 2007. The omens are too numerous to list because there are new ones popping up almost daily referencing this time period. Thus, I am quite intrigued.

Moon & Orbs & Blessings

Photo: Flickr

My blessings are many, and many of these blessings flow from other people whom I love receiving what they have been striving for, be it a new place to live, a partner, a divorce, or an opportunity. When my beloveds recount their blessings to me, I feel electrified and overjoyed. It's as if there is an instant transference from them to me of their blessings. This is how gratitude ripples out to others.

I'm reading a book about photographing the paranormal, and one of the best ways to attract orbs is to feel and express joy and gratitude. Joyous, grateful vibes draw the orbs to people and animals which are then photographed.

"Since day one of my research, I have heard that lunar cycles affect one's ability to photograph orbs. Magnetic fields are evidently stronger when a full moon is approaching. Others claim the best time is right before and after the full and new moons. The very day of the full moon, however, is nearly always a practically orbless day for myself and for others reporting on the Internet. There must be something to this moon business, but I haven't found what it is yet." From the book, "How To Photograph The Paranormal" by Leonore Sweet, Ph.D.

Special Reports
Celebrate the beginning of the Fifth day: November 24, 2006
2006 10 21

By Carl Johan Calleman |

Please copy and circulate article freely

We are currently approaching the beginning of the Fifth day of the Galactic
Underworld, November 24, 2006 and most people have experienced how things
have heated up since the midpoint of the current night, May 27, 2006. In
fact, the evolution of consciousness is fundamentally driven by the Light
of future Heavens and Underworlds and so we are already now being influenced
by it both in the form of world events and personal experiences.

In each of the Underworlds the Fifth day is the era of the breakthrough of
the phenomena of that particular Underworld and from this we may have
certain expectations of what is to come. The overall purpose of the current
Galactic Underworld is to bring a balance between East and West as well as
between the left rational and the right intuitive brain hemispheres. In
short, as it will mean a significant downfall of western dominance in the
world it will allow for the coming together of the cultures of the East and
the West. Very likely, it will generate a downfall of the American dollar
and ensuing altered economic relationships in the world.

It also seems as if the days are the periods that bring the most earth
changes and natural catastrophes and this will very likely also mark the
coming day, November 24, 2006 -November 19, 2007. It simply seems as if
when human beings are regaining their inner wholeness their control of the
external world as a consequence is lost and the Fifth day is exactly such a
period, which will create the conditions for such inner unity and wholeness.

Part of the development of this inner wholeness will come from a major step
forward in the development of our intuition which essentially is mediated
by the right brain half that is now about to be strengthened. In fact, without
the development of this intuition we will not be able to use the
increasingly shorter windows of opportunity that in different ways will be
presented to us.

What there is to do is to fully accept and embrace the very significant
energy shift that is now brought by the beginning of the Fifth day and I
recommend people everywhere to celebrate on November 23-24 the arrival of
the energy of Quetzalcoatl as part of the Breakthrough Celebration
( The Fifth day energy of the Galactic
Underworld means that its manifestations will truly break through into the
world and after this it will become apparent to everyone that we will never
again return to the stable materialist mind set of the lower Planetary
Underworld. We must welcome the shift that is now taking place in the
global energy field and the opportunity it gives us to create balance between East
and West, rationality and intuition and man and woman. For most people the
Breakthrough Energy of the Fifth day will be the most powerful
transformative energy that they experienced as part of the divine plan. Let
us celebrate and prepare together and above all be conscious of the changes
that we may now expect based on the Mayan calendar.

Space Astrology

Have you ever wondered what kind of astrological charts babies born on the Moon or on space platforms will have? What will be the astrology of the coming space-age once we stop becoming so Earth focused?

Belief and Action

Art courtesy of Love Peace Happiness

"Have the dogged determination to follow through to achieve your goal; regardless of circumstances or whatever other people say, think, or do." -- Paul Meyer

Some books leave a lasting impression because of their merit and what they convey hits you at JUST THE RIGHT MOMENT! Such a book for me was a book by Wally Amos where the message was what I really needed to hear at the time. Wally became famous for his delicious chocolate chip cookies: the Famous Amos brand. Wally has since sold his company to Kellogg, moved to Hawaii, written a lots more inspirational books, and started a new company called Chip & Cookie. You can read up on Wally here at his website.

What Wally said in his book that inspired me and which I've never forgotten is this, and I'll paraphrase: whatever you want to do, begin it. Zero listen to anyone else. Just keep going. Just put one foot in front of the other.

The reason I'm bringing this story into an astrological format is this. I feel a lot of people USE astrology to cop out on beginning things and/or following through. If it's not Mercury Retrograde, it's something else like a Jupiter/Saturn/Neptune t-square. They use astrology as their alibi! Sure, I know TO SOME DEGREE what we natalize has the mark of the astro timing, but more importantly, it's what we BELIEVE! If we believe we ARE successful and keep on keeping on, we WILL be successful. There may be detours, set-backs and renewals, but the foundation is belief.

That's my two cents for the day. Smile. Comments anyone?

Sunday Blessings

Photo: Flickr

Every Sunday I participate in a meme titled Blog Your Blessings, and here are mine for today:

I am grateful my daughter and her fiancee found the perfect new place to live.

I am grateful all our coconuts are finally off our trees. Read another one of my blogs Who's Yo Mama to see the photos and story.

I am grateful my partner's favorite football team, Ohio State University, is still on its winning streak.

I am grateful for La Luna's assistance with my blogs! She has re-designed Blog-Blond and another of my blog's The Art of Living and Dying and spiffed them up in innumerable ways.

I am grateful Retrograde Mercury hasn't screwed with me too much! I had to throw that in as this blog is supposed to be an astrology blog! Smile! Seriously, Mercury Retrograde is a time for re-consideration, and I am re-considering the design of most of my blogs, so Mercury Retrograde is my ally.

One Benefit of Neptune Direct

Art courtesy of Love Peace Happiness

Since Neptune went direct recently, I have been ON FIRE with my psychic abilities. I feel they were dimmed by Retrograde Neptune, but NOW I am back up and running again! Yahoo! I realize I take my psychic abilities for granted as I'm usually hooked up! With the period of Neptune Retrograde, I had to work at it, and even then I wasn't feeling all that connected.

Make A Resolve To Keep Happy

Photo: Flickr

"Your success and happiness lie in you... Resolve to keep happy, and your joy and you shall form an invincible host against difficulties." -- Helen Keller

It's interesting to observe onself and others in regards to happiness. Happiness often goes up and down and from one side of the shore to the other depending upon circumstances. I have made a strong effort to ZERO allow the every-changing astrological aspects to affect my happiness. I feel I have the choice to remain happy no matter what is going on in my astrological chart.
